Mac Haul

Mac Fix+

Mac Sable Frost and Phloof! Frost Eyeshadows

Mac Cinderfella Eyeshadow

Cinderfella, Phloof! and Sable

These purchases from Mac are my first, I've always wanted to get a few things from Mac but just find myself looking at other brands. Just as a disclaimer these products were not all bought in one trip! I have heard alot about the Mac Fix+ spray, it is a water based skin refreshing finishing mist. The aim of this product is to add a natural dewy freshness after applying makeup, specifically with applying powder which can sometimes leave a cakey finish. I bought this travel sized version just so I can see if I like it. I've been loving the smokey brown eye recently and on a birthday trip to London I popped into Westfields Mac store and picked out these two gorgeous frost finish eyeshadows in Phloof! and Sable. The metalic finish eye shadows are lovely and super pigmented. Phloof! is a iridescent white pearlised colour with a a hint of light pink, perfect for the inner corners of the eye. Sable is a copper colour, which builds beautifully and really works on the outer corners for a smokey brown or gold eye. One eye shadow I have been looking at for a while in Mac is Cinderfella, a gorgeous
iridescent black with silver, pink and blue sparkles. This is a shadow I have been using for the black smokey eye for nights out since I've purchased it! I use a pure black eyeshadow as a base for and then on the outer corners press Cinderfella, creating a more dramatic look. The great thing about this eyeshadow is it very build-able to add more drama to your look.

YSL BB Cream

YSL Clear BB Cream Swatched

YSL Clear BB Cream Blended

I was in London for my birthday last month and I popped into John Lewis on Oxford Street. So of course this means I had to visit the beauty hall. Last time I went to London with a friend, I went to the YSL beauty counter and the gentleman at the counter showed me the YSL Touché Foundation. He did my makeup so amazingly, including blusher and highlight, so I thought I would see if he was there again. Just to my luck he was! I was browsing the YSL counter and I was planning on picking up a tinted moitsuriser for summer, however once I got speaking to the gentleman I realised they don't do them. Then he brought to my attention the YSL BB Cream Skintone Perfection. When he showed me how it looks on his hand I thought the colour was completely wrong for me and that it really wasn't what I was after. He then applied the cream to my face and my boyfriend looked at me as if to say, 'oh dear god no!' which made me panic! However when I looked into the mirror I fell in love with this product! The light formula when blended in with a makeup brush (I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush) makes the skin appear flawless, correcting any imperfections on the skin adding moisture and radiance. It also contains an SPF 25, which makes it a perfect base for the summer. Being a BB cream it is a very light coverage, but my boyfriend commented on how natural it looked and how it appreared as though I had no makeup on at all, which is always a plus! However it is also a suitable primer for foundation as if prepares the skin and evens out your complexion. The YSL BB Cream comes in three shades clear (which I purchased), medium and dark. The gentleman did inform me that this is infact exclusive to John Lewis which makes it all the more special in my eyes. Although this product is a little pricey I think it is worth every penny, and I shall be using this throughout summer for a natural and radiant base.

Weekly Wish List: Spring Fling

Topshop Levi Block Heel Cuff Sandals- I normally go for a classic wedge in a shoe, as I think in some of the heel around nowadays I would end up breaking something. I love these emerald green beauties. The combination of suede with the dark wood chunky heel and gold cuff make these heels look very expensive and that reflects in the £85 price tag, ouch!

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Excentrique- I love Chanel lipsticks and this colour is a gorgeous take on the classic red with a hint of orange, to give it a more summery feel.

Topshop Stepped Hem Bodycon Dress- This asymmetric dress is also a lovely dress for summer, I love the structured take on the asymmetric trend. The navy blue means a statement clutch or necklace  could change or update this dress instantly.

Chanel Oversized Sunglasses 5205's- So the sun is out and that means I'm looking around at all the       new sunnies hitting the high street. I love tortoise shell affect sunglasses and these gorgeous       oversized square framed sunglasses are just perfect. I especially love the bow detail on the arms.

Accessorize Dotty Perspex Clutch- Perspex clutch bags have been an item I thought I would never     really get into too, but this accessorize dotty clutch is so summery and lovely. I can tell everyone else agrees as at the moment it is out of stock on their website!
